Stories from Home: Adventures in Babysitting and Other Stories

Oh my! What a few weeks it’s been. First of all, my car died. I had to buy a new one, but now I have a new one and I’m thrilled with it, although I was totally tweaked out at first at having to spend that kind of money when I hadn’t planned buy cialis without prescription to. Then my computer died. It took me almost five hours to type the Shakespeare column, so I just gave up on typing anything of any length until I got a new computer. It just seems like it’s one thing after another.
I have also been working a million hours lately. I am enjoying the work and need the money, since I had to buy a new car AND a new computer! Anyway, it’s just been a total stress trying to keep everything going, so unfortunately this is what got dropped to make room for things that have to be done.
On a positive note, the people of Rio Linda got incredibly lucky, because their high school students are lucky enough to have one of the best, most caring, motivated and plain good teachers this year. Crystal is teaching ag bio and starting an FFA program there. I am so proud of her, and she is really loving her job so far.
Now let’s talk about babysitting. I babysat for my niece a couple of weeks ago. She has two of the most adorable children ever born. They are ages 2 and 4. They are so cute, but the 2 year old is perpetual motion personified. He is absolutely wonderful! She also has the most hyperactive dog to ever live. They live at the top of a hill, which you will see in a minute why this detail is important. Anyway, my phone died while watching the kids, so I figured I’d run it out to my car and put it on the charger for a bit. So, I took the kids and had them stand in the yard while I put the phone in the car. Well, it was too simple, so the 2 year old decided to open the front door to the house and let the dog out to play as well. In the front yard, at the top of a hill. Needless to say, the dog didn’t understand that she was supposed to stay in the yard, so off she ran! Down the hill!! I ran into the garage and grabbed the stroller and put the kids in it. So, here I am running down a hill pushing a stroller trying to get the dog to stop running.
The dog is a big tease. She would run just enough ahead to make sure we were still chasing her. If I got too far behind, she’d run up the hill toward me until she got just almost in my reach Alli Online and then off she’d go again. Some lady and her teenage son stopped to help. It was like one of those really bad comedies with the dog running and ducking. I’ve got babies in the stroller running down a hill, with two strangers chasing a dog. Lucky for me, the dog found a mud puddle to play in and let me catch up with it.
This is where the fun starts…Me, pushing a stroller with two babies, carrying a dog UP a steep hill!
