Recipes: Decadent Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients:
3 egg yolks
6 oz semisweet chocolate
1/3 cup water
1 cup heavy cream
3 tablespoons confectioner’s sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, lightly beat the egg yolks.
2. Melt the chocolate with water in a small saucepan, stirring until smooth.
3. Ladle some of the chocolate mixture into the egg yolks and blend well
4. Pour egg and chocolate mixture back into the pan with the remaining chocolate.
5. Cook over low heat, stirring until thickened, about 1 minute.
6. Pour into clean bowl and let cool for 15 minutes.

8. Remove ½ cup of mixture and place in a small bowl and refrigerate.
9. Fold the remaining mixture into the chocolate mixture.
10. Spoon into small dessert bowls or cups.

13. Add chocolate shavings for garnish if desired.
